  I had a referral from a surgeon at OLOL for disc discectomy. I didn't hear anything for 2 weeks. I called and spoke with the very nice staff. She told me he said I should go see someone else in Shreveport. I live in baton rouge and Shreveport is very far away. She confirmed they take my insurance. I asked why I was denied. She said I don't know. Maybe he doesn't do that type of surgery..basically she had no clue, as this surgery is not a complicated surgery for a neurosurgeon that does spine surgeries. A response! on why he declined me instead of shoving me off to someone else with no explanation would have been nice, especially since very few people take my insurance, yet they do.
